Founded in 1970 as the Massachusetts Sociological Association, NESA is a regional organization committed to the continuing improvement of sociological research, teaching, and practice. With approximately 150 members throughout New England and beyond, NESA provides a forum for the scholarly exchange of ideas, both contributing to and reflecting the most recent advances within the discipline of sociology. The Association sponsors two conferences each year: a Spring Conference in April, and a Fall Conference in November. The Spring Conference is centered around the presentation of original research, while the Fall Conference typically focuses upon teaching and professional development. Because professional organizations draw their strength from their membership, we continually seek new members and the ideas and energy that they contribute. We welcome your participation. And now, with Instant Membership, joining NESA is as easy as point-and-click. Simply choose your membership type, provide your contact information, and make your payment electronically with PayPal — It’s fast, free and secure! If you prefer to send a check by mail, click here to Download a Membership Form, fill in your name and contact information, and return it along with your check.
