John W. Dietrich is an assistant professor of Political Science and is the Curriculum Coordinator for Global Studies and Political Science. He graduated cum laude with distinction in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania in 1991. He then went on to graduate school at Johns Hopkins University, where he earned an MA in 1997 and a PhD in1998. He joined the Bryant faculty full-time in 2001.  His research and teaching interests include International Relations, U.S. Foreign Policy, International Security, and Human Rights Policy.

He lives with his lovely wife and two adorable children.  He enjoys watching sports, reading the newspaper and walks with his dog.
