PRINCE2® (Projects in Controlled Environments) is a ready-to-use project management methodology that has been widely adopted and adapted by both public and private sectors and is undergoing strong growth in North America, Europe, and Africa.  It has gained recognition as an industry best practice by leading vendors including Microsoft, HP and IBM.

PRINCE® was first developed by the British Government in 1989 as the standard method for Information Technology project management. Since then, the method has been enhanced (PRINCE2®) and has proven to be an excellent, best-practice approach that can be applied in the management of all types of projects.

The PRINCE2 methodology has a series of processes which cover all the activities needed on a project from start to finish and provide clear, step-by-step, direction. These processes are complemented by several components, such as risk and quality, which provide the building blocks of the project, along with a small number of techniques, which describe how to carry out specific activities, such as product-based planning or quality review.

Upon successful completion of this program, demonstrated by passing the prescribed tests, you earn your PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioners designation.
